Vermont-NEA Southern Region - Who we are.
Vermont-NEA’s Southern Region is one of 7 UniServ Regions in Vermont. The Southern UniServ Region includes teachers and school staff in all of Windham and Bennington Counties and small areas of Windsor and Rutland Counties, an area of over 1500 square miles. We represent teachers and school staff in 8 supervisory unions. We represent teachers in 45 individual school districts, and we represent school staff in 23 individual school districts. Within the region there are 11 local teachers’ associations, 4 local school staff associations, and 5 local associations where teachers and staff are included in the same association. There are currently 30 collective bargaining agreements in the region. The region has over 1850 members.
